SUPER 32 Challange Qualifier Information

Shippensburg University will be hosting a Super 32 Challange Qualifying tournament on September 4 and 5, 2010 with wrestling starting at 9 AM both days.  Weigh ins will be Friday evening from 4-8 PM at the Heiges Field House (Same location as the tournament).  Goto the registration table, pick up your weigh in card and registration bracelet and goto weigh in room.  To Register goto www.boutmastersllc.com  “Click” on “Schedule” find event and “Click” on “Paypal/Registration” and begin .  Entry is by pre registration online ONLY.  Registration will be open Monday August 2nd @ 7 PM and run till August 20th OR until the tournament reaches its limit.  Registration is limited to the first 850 Paid entrys.

Be sure to get your copy of Takedowns and Falls at the 2010 PIAA State Wrestling Championships Friday and Saturday March 12 & 13, 2010 at The Giant Center in Hershey, PA.  Takedowns and Falls is a Documentary film that tells the story of a group of Pennsylvania teens and their relationships within a high school wrestling team on a journey to attain a state championship. It chronicles a season of the Central Dauphin Rams in Harrisburg, PA and highlights the sacrifice of its athletes, the commitment of their families and the dedication of its coaches. Inspired by their love of the sport and their coaches, this group of teens grows up before our eyes, in an attempt to over achieve and do the impossible. Takedowns and Falls explores themes of humility, family, friendship and teamwork via individual and team efforts to win a state title. The film transcends the sport and becomes a story about people over coming odds, and will appeal to a wide audience. Takedowns and Falls is Spellbound meets Friday Night Lights for high school wrestling, taking place in the U.S. Mecca for the sport.  Takedowns and falls are happy to give the NHSCA Sports Network copies of there DVD of Takedowns and Falls as prizes for the winners of our Picks Contest found on www.pa-d1wrestling.com

The 2009-2010 season is right around the corner. We're starting to get ready for the upcoming season here at the NHSCA Sports Network, so coaches please forward rosters to me asap at dshank@nhscasportsnetwork.com. Here is a listing of compiled top returners at each weight class. The top returners were compiled with results from the weights wrestled and results from the post season tournaments. As the season starts and we get a feel of each weight each wrestler will be wrestling we will be able to adjust and make more accurate. If possible, we would also like to get their career records, broken down by grade so that we may enter them into our database.
